Booking 3 full day tours with Coze Care for our large family group was easily one of the best decisions we made for our trip!
The booking process was smooth, they were attentive and answered all my questions quickly to ensure I was happy with what I had booked. And the tours themselves were outstanding.
We had Ricky for two of our days and Yohan for the other. They were so much more than traditional guides—they were our photographers, time-keepers, and go-to food finders. They did an amazing job tailoring our days around what we wanted to see while navigating Seoul’s traffic. Rather than a rigid tour, it honestly felt like hanging out with local friends who were eager to show us around their city and share their stories. We saw spots you'd never find in a standard tourist brochure and felt completely looked after every step of the way.

Accommodation: Find Airbnb Stays in Hyehwa-ro
If you prefer rich neighborhood character over shiny hotel towers, Hyehwa-ro (in the Daehangno theater district) is your ideal Seoul base. It has a relaxed, creative energy driven by independent coffee shops, cozy local eateries, and more than 100 small performing arts theaters. It's a place where you can spend your morning coffee-hopping or strolling through leafy Marronnier Park, and your evening catching a play or grabbing drinks alongside locals rather than crowds of tour buses.
It’s also effortlessly practical for getting around. Hyehwa Station (Line 4) connects you directly to major hubs like Dongdaemun, Myeongdong, and Seoul Station in just minutes. Plus, you can walk straight out your door to historic spots like Changgyeonggung Palace, the hilltop Ihwa Mural Village, and sunset walks along the ancient Seoul City Wall at Naksan Park. It delivers the perfect mix of walkability, convenience, and low-key cultural charm.
If you’re heading to Seoul, Myeongdong is likely near the top of your list—and for good reason, though it helps to know what to skip and what to dive headfirst into.
As a base, it's a super convenient place to stay since it’s right in the central hub and close to virtually everything. Plus, if you're planning any day trips or organized excursions, almost every major tour company includes pick-up spots right in this area, making your mornings completely stress-free.
Yes, it’s undeniably touristy, and honestly, we’d recommend skipping the relentless pitch from the endless cosmetic shops packed into the main avenues. Where Myeongdong really shines, though, is after dark. The Myeongdong Night Market comes alive with an electric, spectacular vibe, and you could easily spend hours just eating your way through stall after stall of incredible street food. Once you’ve had your fill of treats, make your way down to the nearby Cheonggyecheon Stream (the little river cutting through the city) as it’s the perfect, peaceful spot to stroll off your food coma and soak in the city lights!
A day trip from Seoul to Everland is an absolute must, but if there's one main takeaway from our visit, it's this: take your time and just enjoy the atmosphere!
Everland is massive, and honestly, it takes longer than a single day to see and do everything. Trying to check off every single ride will only leave you exhausted. Instead, pace yourself, pick your top must-dos, and soak in the fun surroundings without rushing from corner to corner.
Key tips & Getting there
Booking Made Simple: We booked our tickets ahead of time through Klook, which made the entry process seamless and stress-free. Klook link for everland adventures
Easy Transport from Seoul: It’s relatively close to the city with plenty of convenient travel options. You can jump in an Uber/taxi, take the train, or book one of the many dedicated tour shuttle buses running directly from major Seoul hubs.
Don't stress about rushing through the entire park in one go. Slow down, enjoy the vibe, grab some fun treats, and make a great day of it!
For our family trip, I really wanted to be able capture the essence of our time together. As our kids had grown up, become adults, and spread their wings across the world, this was a moment we were all together for the first time in a few years
Working with Joshfotos for our shoot was an absolute blast from start to finish! We had a full group of eight, and we chose to shoot right in the Hyehwa area where we were staying (be sure to check out my separate review of Hyehwa!), making the absolute most of scenic spots like Naksan Park and Marronnier Park. We had a tight schedule with another activity (Beat Ta Movement) lined up right after, but Josh was incredible at mapping out the timing down to the minute. He ensured we captured breathtaking sunset photos while still getting us to our next destination right on time. Josh brought so much fun, high energy, and genuine warmth to the session, expertly blending his own thoughtful ideas with everything we wanted to capture. He delivered the most beautiful photos of our family that we will cherish forever—we truly couldn't have asked for a better experience, and you can check out his work or book him directly through his Instagram page!
It’s a bit of an offbeat topic for a travel blog, but dental care is a huge part of the journey when prices at home are out of reach! After putting my teeth on the back burner for years while focusing on raising my kids, I finally reached a point where extensive work could no longer wait. In Australia, the quotes for the implants, crowns, and restorations I needed were simply astronomical, and I genuinely had no idea how I’d afford it. Booking an appointment with Seoul Today Dental Clinic turned out to be a total game-changer.
From the moment I arrived, Dr. Doh and the team made the entire process remarkably reassuring. Dr. Doh is efficient, warm, and straight to the point without any sales pressure, ensuring I felt in safe, expert hands every step of the way. Plus, there is zero language barrier—Dr. Doh, many of the associate dentists, receptionists, and nurses speak fluent English, making communication completely effortless. This was hands-down the best experience I’ve ever had with a dentist, and I can’t recommend them enough to anyone looking for world-class care in Seoul.
I love a great activity with the family! Taking our family of eight (all adults but still kids to me) on the electric tram tour with We Ride Korea was a one of the many highlights of our time in Seoul!
From start to finish, the entire experience was packed with great sights, energy, and genuine fun. It gave us a fantastic insight into the city while feeling more like a fun adventure than a rigid tourist itinerary. The staff completely made the trip, our guide was super knowledgeable, engaging, and remarkably handsome (he was adamant I include that! lol), while our driver was equally brilliant at navigating the city and keeping everything running smoothly. If you're visiting Seoul and want a memorable experience that the whole family will enjoy, check out We Ride Korea - you won't regret it!
If there is one live performance you shouldn't miss in Seoul, it’s the Nanta Show. We saw it back in 2022 on one of our early trips to Korea, and it remains one of our absolute favorite memories. The energy in the theatre, the outstanding performers, the hilarious physical comedy, and the rhythmic magic they create using basic kitchen tools are unmatched.
It’s completely non-verbal, packed with fun audience participation, and brilliantly executed from start to finish. There is a very good reason this show has been a staple in Seoul for decades—book your tickets ahead (we used Klook), grab some street food in Myeongdong beforehand, and prepare for a fantastic night!
